Communities
We operate in or near local communities in three countries. We are committed to supporting those communities in a variety of ways beyond our day-to-day operations.
Among the ways in which we support our host communities are donations and other forms of support for community projects, tourism, environmental activities, schools and educational programs.
Australia
Global Advanced Metals Western Australia Greenbushes site employees proudly supported the 2021 Greenbushes primary school science fair helping to advance STEAM interest. The Global Advanced Metals Resources team also supports the local Greenbushes Primary School with art supplies, the Bridgetown Agricultural Society, and the Greenbushes Art and Music Trail.
United States
In Boyertown, our Community Outreach program aims to support our community, with emphasis placed on science and technology education, first responder organizations, performing arts, community and civic improvement efforts. We support dozens of local organizations through employee involvement and financial contributions such as the YMCA of Boyertown, Boyertown Multi-Service, Boyertown Education, and The Salvation Army.
The Boyertown site also holds a Community Advisory Panel (CAP) which includes Boyertown area residents (representing education, local government, neighbors, business, non-profit organizations, clergy, and environmental organizations) and GAM leadership. The approximately 20 member CAP meets to discuss site activities and topics of mutual interest.
Japan
The Aizu plant is active in the community, working closely with the officials of our city and townships. Global Advanced Metals Japan (GAMJ) is a strong supporter of the regional social welfare council. Aizu plant personnel also conduct periodic cleanup activities in the local communities.
The Aizu plant has in the past and will continue to proudly support various community festivals.
